Leap Into 2017 : Do What You Love
I wish you all to have an amazing 2017, I hope that it is a year where you break-out and do what you love. If you are not doing what you love, I recommend that you stop and write down some of the things you love to do. Pursue your dreams. One of the best pieces of advice that I read was from the business magnate Richard Branson, in which he mentioned that it was key to write down your goals, ideas, or else you will forget them.
I wrote down my goals a couple of years ago, and I didn’t just accomplish my goals, but I leaped past them in a shorter time. This is what gave me the initial courage to start my own company.
…I didn’t just accomplish my goals, but I leaped past them in a shorter time.
Think about it, what is it that you love to do? I loved Photography, and was trained in Software Engineering. I combined the two and voila, a Camera App was born. Photography and Engineering didn’t have to be exclusive, I didn’t have to give up either or, now I am actually doing both.
Another thing is that family and friends are critical to your success. Don’t make the mistake of alienating yourself from your family, or from overly talking about your business. Share with them, but don’t overshare.
…family and friends are critical to your success.
I encourage you to sit down with your favorite cup of coffee or tea and start challenging yourself more than you ever have. Write it down and ponder on it. You might just end up leaping past your goals, and be in a totally different chapter of your life next year in 2018.

My goal for 2016 was to launch the LightFilter Camera App on the App Store, and it’s free now until the next release when it transitions into the $0.99 tier.
